Frýs í æðum bjór is a kettle-fermented sour ale from Ölvisholt, brewed with Greek yogurt from Arna. This style of beer is known as “gose”, originated in the town of Goslar in Germany where spring water is high in salt content. Birch-smoked salt from Saltverk is used to add a slight saltiness to our beer. Frýs í æðum bjór is fresh and smooth with a slightly salty, smoky flavor. It’s a perfect beer to drink with traditional Icelandic food, a.k.a. “þorramatur”.
